One app, the whole season

Everything a grassroots team runs on β€” finally in one place

Admin apps organise. Coaching tools track. Half-Time FC does both, built fair-play-first and safe with children's data from the ground up.

Availability in a tap

Yes / No / Maybe for every match and training. Parents can mark a whole season available in one tap; coaches nudge whoever hasn't replied.

  • Recurring training with per-week overrides
  • Live availability grid for coaches
  • Queues and syncs even with no signal

Match planner & formations

Pick your formation, place players in every slot, and rename position labels to match how you coach β€” RW, CM, CB rather than a generic "MF".

  • Break the match into quarters or eighths
  • Editable position initials per slot
  • Coach & assistant coach only β€” never parents

Fair-play minutes

Fair play isn't a separate screen β€” it's a running total of minutes across the whole match. Plan it before kickoff and watch it update as subs actually happen.

  • Projected minutes per player, live
  • Recalculates when you change a sub
  • Balance time across the season, not one game

Live match, offline-first

Start the clock, log goals, assists, saves and cards, and run subs with a timer β€” all with no signal. Fix a wrong scorer or a missed time after the fact.

  • Coaches & assistants log events; parents view only
  • Edit or correct any event later
  • Auto match report, shared with parents

Training that builds itself

Set the session length and Half-Time FC suggests a warm-up, drills, a small-sided game and cool-down β€” then you edit any block to suit your squad.

  • Set duration, get a full session outline
  • Edit every suggested block freely
  • Carries "work on…" notes from the last match

Squad & safeguarding

Every player added by their parent or guardian, with the contact details, allergies and medical conditions coaches need β€” encrypted and permission-gated.

  • Parent/guardian contact to confirm availability
  • Allergies & medical conditions on the profile
  • Photo & data consent, revocable any time

Match-day logistics

Set the venue by dropping a pin on Google Maps, add the referee, and list what's on site β€” parking, toilets, tuck shop β€” then share a clean page with the opposition.

  • Pick or drop a pin on Google Maps
  • Referee & facilities (parking, toilets, tuck shop)
  • Public opposition page β€” never any child's data

Clubs, teams & roles

Club admins set up teams; every team has a coach and an assistant coach. Everyone sees exactly what their role allows β€” nothing more.

  • Admins add and edit clubs & teams
  • Each team requires a coach & assistant coach
  • Parents are view-only for their child's team

Player history that moves with them

A child's record follows them if they move clubs, so their stats and story aren't trapped. Each club keeps its own history; the guardian sees the full picture.

  • Guardian-owned, portable player identity
  • Per-club history stays private to each club
  • Built around GDPR data-portability rights
The difference

Fair minutes, not a spreadsheet

Parents care intensely about equal playing time. Half-Time FC treats it as a live calculation across the whole match β€” broken into quarters or eighths, with a slot for every player in each β€” so no one's forgotten on the bench.

  • Quarters or eighths

Split the game the way your league plays it, with named slots for players in every segment.

  • Updates live as subs change

Change who's on and the minutes recalculate instantly, so the plan always reflects what's actually been played.

  • Editable position labels

Rename slots to how you talk β€” RW, CM, CB β€” instead of a one-size "MF" tag.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is Half-Time FC free?
A single team can get started for free. Larger clubs with multiple teams and admin oversight can unlock club features β€” with no banner or interstitial ads at any tier. Sponsors, if a club adds them, appear only as tasteful, club-controlled placements.
Does it work without signal at the pitch?
Yes. Availability and the entire live match β€” clock, events, subs and minutes β€” are captured offline and sync automatically once you're back online. You'll always see whether you're offline and when everything has synced.
How does the fair-play planner work?
Fair play is a running calculation of minutes across the whole match, not a separate feature. You can break the match into quarters or eighths with a slot for each player per segment, pick your formation and rename position labels (RW, CM, CB). As subs change during the game, minutes update live so the plan reflects what was actually played. Only the coach and assistant coach can see and edit it.
Who can add match events like goals?
Only the coach and assistant coach can add or edit match events. Parents and guardians have a view-only picture of their own child's team. If something's logged wrong β€” a mis-credited goal or a missed clock restart β€” a coach can correct any event after the fact.
What do I need to add a player?
Players are added by their parent or guardian via an invite link β€” a child never registers themselves. You'll capture the child's details, at least one emergency contact, and any allergies or medical conditions, plus photo and data-sharing consents you can change at any time. Parent/guardian contact details are used to confirm availability. Sensitive fields are encrypted.
How does venue and match-day info work?
Set the venue by selecting a place or dropping a pin on Google Maps, add the referee, and list on-site facilities like parking, toilets and a tuck shop. You can share a clean opposition page with directions, kickoff, kit and referee β€” logistics only, never any child's personal data.
How is training built?
Set how long the session should be and Half-Time FC suggests a full outline β€” warm-up, drills, a small-sided game and cool-down with durations. Every block is editable, and "work on…" notes from your last match are carried forward as suggested focus areas.
Who sets up clubs and teams?
Club admins add and edit clubs and teams β€” not coaches. Each team must have both a coach and an assistant coach so there's always cover and shared responsibility.
Is my child's data safe?
Protecting children's data is central to the product. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, medical and emergency-contact details get extra field-level encryption, there's no private adult-to-child messaging, and guardians can see coach communications. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
Does it replace the FA's system?
No. Half-Time FC works alongside the FA's official systems for registration and results, not instead of them β€” the goal is to import fixtures and save you re-keying, while handling the coaching and match-day side those tools don't.
